Applegate was a young actress and gained fame for her role as Kelly Bundy on Fox's sitcom Married... with Children (1987-1997). Applegate began a successful television and film career in her adulthood, winning an Primetime Emmy Award from seven nominations, as well as nominations for four Golden Globe Awards and a Tony Award. Applegate appeared in the title role in the NBC sitcom Jesse (1998-2000) and for which she was nominated for an Golden Globe Award. In her role as an actress on the NBC sitcom Friends and Friends, she was honored with a Primetime Emmy Award. She was nominated by the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in Sweet Charity (2005). Samantha Who? was her next ABC sitcom. (2007-2009) and for which she was awarded two Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations.
