Bellamy Young
Young first began her acting career as a theatre actor. In 1997, she had her Broadway debut as Mary in the initial cast of The Life. In addition, she has appeared Off-Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's musical Merrily We Roll Along (1994) as well as Randy Newman's Faust (1995-1996). She made her first appearance on the TV screen in 1995 as Dr. Courtney Evans. The actress guest-starred on Law & Order in 1997 and 1998 in two different characters. Her debut on film came in 1999 with the role of a minor character in Black and White. In the following years she appeared in a variety of independent films. Her first guest appearances on television dramas and comedies at the start of the 2000s. These include The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Young is a regular on more than thirty television series between 2000 and 2011. in 2003 Young became a regular in the USA Network show Peacemakers. After nine episodes of the show, it stopped after a single episode. She played deputy Dist. on The Lifetime drama For the People. Atty. Agnes Hunt on NBC drama American Dreams in 2003 as Diane Shaw, Dr. Grace Miller on NBC Scrubs in 2004 as Monica West, Assistant State Attorney Monica West in CBS CSI: Miami from 2005-2006, and Ellen Darling on ABC soap Dirty Sexy Money in 2008-2009 as the youngest son-in law in the Darling Family. Also, she played a regular appearance on Criminal Minds as Beth Clemmons in 2011 through 2013.
